Why white paint can make damage more noticeable
Unlike darker colours, white tends to highlight damage through contrast rather than depth. When a chip exposes a darker layer beneath, it can draw the eye immediately, particularly along front bumpers, bonnet edges and door corners.
Using white touch up paint allows you to reduce that contrast and improve the overall consistency of the panel. It is a practical solution for addressing minor cosmetic damage without the need for larger repairs.
Matching the correct shade of white
White is rarely a single, universal colour. Manufacturers produce multiple shades ranging from flat solid whites to brighter or slightly warmer tones, as well as pearlescent finishes that reflect light differently.
Chipex™ supplies white touch-up paint mixed to the correct factory specification, ensuring an exact colour match that blends naturally with your Mercedes’s paintwork. Browse our colour swatches to select the exact shade, or search by your Mercedes’s registration or model to find the perfect match.
