- Should you not be able to contact them, in order to locate the code there are a few places it’s normally placed:
- Look on the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) plate. It will have its own numbered sticker.
- Check the front windscreen. The number is usually at the bottom of the screen on the left or right side.
- Take a look at the A or B pillars on the car, where the door hinges and closes to.
- Lift the bonnet/hood (front or rear depending on the model) of the car. It’s usually attached as a metal plate onto an obvious flat surface.
